The new nomination allocations for FY 2023/2024 have just been released.
We are disappointed to see less allocations than last year for each of the states for visas 190 & 491 and no allocation for the Business Innovation and Investment Program. Also it is surprising to see that the 491 regional visa has not been allocated more places in the aim to push applicants in regional areas. A desired outcome for many remote areas has once again not been considered.
Being QLD based, we are particularly disappointed to see only 900 and 650 allocations for 190 & 491 visas respectively, the general skilled migration scheme for this financial year is looking less favourable than expected making employer nominations via the 482 & 186 visas once again a more realistic and secure pathway for many migrants.
